Oh me Oh my!

First of all I would like to apologise to my readers that I have not been posting for such a longgggggggg time. I have had many things going on in my life and I have not been able to make myself blog.
Time for my rant I think:

...
 Oh my goodness!
For months I have been beating myself up about my writing and drafting etc, but a post from Kristin Cashore author of my favorite book Graceling made me realise that its normal. Everything I have been going through as a writer AND a person is just what happens.
I have been near ready to give up on my novel, because my first draft was horrific and no one was allowed to read it. Ever!  I had as good as thrown it out so as I could start again fresh, but thank goodness I didn't for reading her post was like finally realising there was a God, or warm baths and curling up in front of a fire, it had told me that its just what you do. You hate your first draft and think you'll never be able to do it, but then you push it aside and march on, even start again wiht the same ideas if you must. I had also been worried about not finishing in a short amount of time, but the truth is, her last book Bitterblue took her four years of revising and editing start to finish. No one is waiting upon me to finish my noel except my characters and I. There is no need to rush and the story will come along as it needs to. This is going to be hard and I am going to be grumpy and worn out and sick of everything. In the end I am going to have a brilliant novel and it will have been worth the tears.
Here is her link if you wish to read Kristin's blog post:

Thank you, thank you Kristin! You have no idea what an inspiration you are to my writing and I!
